The purpose of this page is to provide clarity to customers on platform support.
Client OS and Browser Support
Policy
iWelcome's platform support is based on the following guiding principles:
- For consumer facing user interfaces (such as Login pages and Self-Service), iWelcome aims at supporting a wide range of browsers and browser versions.
- For employee facing user interfaces (such as the Service Desk application), iWelcome will only support browser revisions for which security patches are still being released.
- iWelcome aims at following major SaaS platforms like Salesforce, O365 and Google applications.
- Support for the last 3 major releases of widely used browsers.
Customers can expect these guiding principles to be applied to future iWelcome releases.
iWelcome acknowledges that there may be a significant number of users using older operating systems and platforms. For example, iWelcome still sees usage of Internet Explorer 8 (IE8).
To accommodate such users, iWelcome applies the following guiding principles:
- Customers can contact iWelcome to discuss any issues.
- iWelcome may be willing to resolve issues on a best effort basis.
- In such situations, iWelcome will particularly focus on login functionality as well as registration and/or activation of new identities.

Behavior for not supported browser/OS
⚠️ iWelcome does not generate a warning message to the end user when a non-supported version is being used.
Security
Security support features enforcement of secure connections through TLS (Transport Layer Security) configuration of iWelcome servers to prevent Man-in-the-Middle attacks and, of course, securing our infrastructure, frontends and backends against known and future weaknesses.
iWelcome offers no protection against insecure browsers, neither through failure to update after security fixes have been released, nor through the use of extensions and plugins that may result in a Man-in-the-Browser (MITB) attack or a modification of the handling and rendering of our pages.
